Spatial/Temporal Access Distribution and Its Causes
Hover over points in the city to see which other points can be reached from there within 30 minutes. The overlay
color signifies how often this is possible during the full 24 hours of a typical weekday. Click once to lock the
center under the cursor, click again anywhere to unlock. Blue lines signify which portions of transit routes are
ridden to achieve this access. When available in agency data (e.g. Seattle bus routes), these will follow
route's path. Otherwise they will connect adjacent stops with a straight line. Lines vary in thickness based on
how many times of day they appear in a least-time path from the hovered point to another point. This visualizes
the combined impact of frequency, speed, and proximity to stops.
